Used for the addition and transportation of graphite electrode sections or columns to and from the furnace, which are designed to enable the operator to leave the lifting device on the column during furnace operation due to the identical thermal expansion rate of the graphite components. The threads of the lifting plugs are made of graphite which has the same character with the graphite electrode, so it could protect the graphite electrode from any break.
